About
Stephen Campbell is an illustrator, who creates hand stitched drawings with embroidery techniques for an extensive roster of international clients. He shares his studio with his wheaten terrier Étienne.
He is influenced by great storytelling he sees everyday from riding his bicycle around the city; strolling through aisles of vinyl; watching just one more movie by François Ozon, TATI, Agnès Varda, Louis De Funès, Mia Hansen-Løve; checking the Instagrams of Adut Akech Bior, Karen Elson, Rafael Nadal; falling in love with pattern and color mixes by Duro Olowu or Dries Van Noten; getting lost in the imagined worlds of Tim Walker, Jean-Pierre Khazem, and Steven Klein.
At night, Stephen can be found having friends over for Scallion Pancakes, Raclette, or experimenting with the latest vegetarian Indian recipe from Meera Sodha. He always has good intentions to travel to other places but returns again and again to France.
